CEDEN is the State Water Resources Control Board’s (State Water Board) database for housing surface
water quality related data. In order to better understand the needs of CEDEN users, State Water
Board staff is holding a user group meeting to request feedback on the system.
The meeting will start with a brief overview of current CEDEN plans and projects. Then staff will ask
for comments. While all constructive comments are welcome, staff is particularly interested in
comments pertaining to the following:
- Simplifying the entry templates
- Allowing use of a simplified template for field measurements
- “Grading” data based on quality assurance/quality control metadata
- Data access and querying needs
- Required fields
- Key data sets
