Disadvantaged Community and Tribal Water Conference

An opportunity to learn and connect

 June 18, 8:00 am – 3:00pm

Tallman Pavilion, Tri-County Fairgrounds, Sierra St. and Fair Dr., Bishop, CA 

Join the Inyo-Mono Integrated Regional Water Management Program (IRWMP) for a day filled with celebration, collaboration, and learning focused on disadvantaged community (DAC) and tribal participation in regional water planning.

 The conference will include:irrigation_fish_springs

  • A first-time viewing of the brand new documentary film that focuses on the importance of water resources to DACs and tribes in the Inyo-Mono water planning region
  • A roll-out of the findings of the IRWMP disadvantaged communities grant
  • A tour of two small water systems in local disadvantaged communities
  • Opportunity to connect with other communities with similar water systems and situations

Tentative schedule:

  • 8:00 – 8:30 am – registration, breakfast
  • 8:30 am – 12:00 pm – session(s) focused on DAC grant results, including first time showing of DAC documentary
  • 12:00 – 1:00 pm – Lunch (provided)
  • 1:00 – 3:00 pm – Tour of regional DAC water systems
