The California-Nevada Section, American Water Works Association (AWWA) is offering a free workshop: Small System Operator Training: Achieve/Maintain Compliance with the SDWA. This workshop is for Small Public Water Systems for Community and Non-Community Water Systems serving a population of 10,000 persons or fewer only. The objective of this workshop is to provide training and technical assistance so you can comply with Federal and state/local regulatory requirements.
This workshop is being offered free to:
- Operators at tribal and non-tribal small community water systems (CWSs), non-transient non-community water systems (NTNCWSs), and transient non-community water systems (TNCWSs).
- Small system operators, engineers, and managers.
- Board members at tribal and non-tribal CWSs, NTNCWSs, and TNCWSs.
This workshop will focus on compliance with SDWA. The four topic areas to be covered are:
- Water Treatment-Microbial Contaminants
- Disinfection By-Products Reduction and Control
- Distribution System Operation and Maintenance
- Regulatory Review-Revised Total Coliform Rule (RTCR), Lead /Copper, Groundwater Rule
