You are cordially invited to the 2013 SWWG Summit. We are returning to Kings Beach for three full days this time, June 11-13!

This is the forum for Integrated Regional Water Management in the Sierra.

The low registration cost of $100 gets you access to a three days of workshops, speakers, networking, two receptions, and all of your breakfasts and lunches. You are responsible for lodging, but we can recommend a few options.
Register today to make sure you get a spot and the lowest price (price increases after April 15)!

The agenda is still under development, but keep an eye on the registration page – we will post a draft agenda soon and update it regularly. A few of the topics that will be covered are: Climate Adaptation, Sierra Agriculture and Water Quality, Bay-Delta Conservation Plan, Water Rights and Area of Origin issues, IRWM Strategic Plan and the State Water Plan, Tribal Water Issues, and a full day focus on disadvantaged communities.

The 2013 Sierra Water Work Group Summit, sponsored by the Sierra Nevada Alliance, the California State Bar, Inyo-Mono IRWMP and in partnership with the Sierra Nevada Conservancy will take place at Kings Beach, CA. The Summit will focus on three broad topics: integrated regional water management, policy and legal issues surrounding water and watershed management, and engaging and serving disadvantaged communities and Native American tribes.

This three-day event is an occasion to raise the profile of the Sierra, discuss issues specific to disadvantaged communities, inform stakeholders of state and federal water policy issues, and share accomplishments, challenges, and resources among Regional Water Management Groups throughout the Sierra Nevada. This year’s Summit will feature speakers and panelists from IRWM Groups, lawyers, state and federal agencies, nonprofit organizations, tribes, and public officials.  The Summit will bring together IRWM stakeholders from all over the Range of Light and will feature informational workshops, great food, networking and interactive discussions. We hope you can join us for this event and we look forward to seeing you in June!
